ok you see, we stay beside the fire brigade, and we can literally see firemen working out, cooking in the kitchen, pumping petrol into their vehicles etc. just moments ago, the peace in the room was broken when cuiyi suddenly exclaimed, "eh got fireman running on the threadmill leh! some more he not wearing shirt!" HAHAHA =P but of cos, being a girl too, i walked over to her side of the room and looked....hmmm, really not bad leh, quite fit and built! HAHA =P she wanted to snap a photo, but before she could do it, the fireman "disappeared"! lol. so now there's another one on the threadmill, but he's more "conservative" so nothing much to see lah...erm, cuiyi took a photo anyway of him and another of the "cook" in the kitchen, so if you are interested, click here. but i say first, the photos are not fantastic. haha =P
anyway, i dun have much to blog about these days cos it's just about school stuff. -_- i have assignments to do already, and the one troubling me most now is the equivalent of newspaper prac, cos i've to submit a story idea soon and write an article! -_- RAHH. i am still feeling the inertia, i dun want school to start! haha. i think my timetable is more or less fixed right now, pending cantonese - i dunno if i want to take the lesson, if i add the module, it means i dun have a free day on friday anymore! =( so what am i doing here? the equivalent of 221, newspaper prac, org comm (omg. but bo bian), jap (haha, i love this class!) and....ASTRO! woah. but the teacher said it shouldnt be a prob even if i am not a science student, i just need to get used to some scientific terms...after i asked him if it would be a prob, he asked me if i'm from singapore / malaysia. i said "singapore", he said "i can hear it from your accent".
then there was this other teacher, the newspaper prac one, he said he can tell where i'm from just by looking at the way our names are capitalised. he said for tw hk, they used hyphens in btw. like....Rou-chih. then for china, it's they spell it together, like Sujun / Wenwen, for hk, i guess they can tell by the way you pronounce the names, and for us it's like Lay Ming. interesting. it dint occur to me before that. haha =)
alrite i am meeting some international students for dinner soon. oh did i say that i stopped recording how much money i spent? it's such a chore. hahaha. but it's quite scary. cos it's only almost 2 weeks, and i spent about 200bucks (sing dollars okay!) alr. -_- wonder where all the money went to. alamak.
and we are all freezing here. ok, the peeps in US and sweden are probably going to squish us for that, but hey, the winds are really chilly here too! =( i went for a run last night (which i think was cool, just that i concluded that it was actually quite unsafe), and i couldnt sweat a drop cos the cold wind was just hitting against my face! i was just taking in all the cold air, and my lips were perpetually dry! -_- but i like the fact that i am working out yet i am not perspiring. hahaha =P
ok before i leave the comp for now, i shall leave you with some photos....
this is what i see every day when i walk to school. i like how the mountain makes the building seem so much more majestic. oh, we are living in the rich people's area by the way, so alot of private housing, and a few big houses around. =)
and we were on our way to mong kok on wednesday, when we all decided to leave some social issues in advertising class (i wasnt in the class to begin with, i was just there to see if i could add it, but NO, the teacher is weird and for some odd reason, had to do journal critique - which is 105!!). haha =P oh, i think they always look good in the photos i take leh! =P ok lah, works both ways - the people are photogenic to start with, and i am a good photographer. LOL =P
and this was what we had for dinner on wednesday - sausages, squid, bacon with golden mushrooms, curry fishballs and i-cant-rmb-what, i ate most of this. ALAMAK. now you see why i needed to go run yesterday? i think the cold weather makes people hungry easier. =( cuiyi and i are hungry already! might as well, just in time for dinner now! =P
