all set.
yup, the last thing i will pack into my luggage is precisely this laptop i am typing at now. it feels kinda weird that it's finally the day i fly to hong kong! i dun feel much excitement, neither do i feel the apprehension. but i really hope tears dun roll down my cheeks later when i am about to enter the departure gate, knowing that i will be away for 5 months. it will be damn embarrassing man. -_- 5 mths is by no means a long time compared to say, 4 years, but it's still feels quite long since it's only january now, and i will only be home in june.
packing for the trip went quite smoothly other than the fact that we couldnt find the key to the lock for a while and my father had already started sawing on the lock in an attempt to get it off the zip before my sister found the key in her drawer. it would have taken my dad ages to remove the lock by sawing =X and i hope my luggage isn't overweight, though i think it is. haha =P
anyway, i went for dim sum with my grandmother, uncle, maid and my family on saturday. nothing much, but i attempted to speak in cantonese with my grandma. haha. not a sustained convo, just asked if she knows i am going to hong kong and told her that she doesnt have to go send me off cos i will be back really soon. lol. i know my canto sucks, but hey, at least i tried. =P as we were walking to the car, she turned back and told me, “小心,乖乖”, which means be careful and be good. it was 4 simple words, but i guess it captures the essence of what everyone, esp the elders, will be telling me tmr.
oh, i will be setting off early tmr to have my favourite chicken porridge at jurong west before we head to the airport! HAHA =P alrite, it's time for me to turn in now, and time for me to learn what independence is. i think i will miss home.
