50-dollar-budget-days and the kfc.

i set myself a target: to not spend more than 50HKD a day. seriously, i feel like we have been spending non-stop, mostly on food i would say =( a normal plate of char siew rice back home would be 2.50, at most 3bucks, but here....it can range from 3bucks in the hall canteen to 5-6 bucks at eateries outside. TSK. after the past few days of "experiment", it's actually possible to keep within that "pathetic" budget, just that you probably only have enuf to have 2 meals and not buy anything else. hahaha.

it's funny how sometimes i go out, spend 100bucks, then think, "oh shit! that's a hundred bucks, alot leh!" and only to realise that it's actually just 20SGD, which is a reasonable amount of expenditure for a day i guess. oh wells. i dunno, i just feel like my pool of money is shrinking very fast. lol =P

and yes, the kfc. i tell you, the kfc here is really yum yum! why does this sound familiar, have i said this before?? lol =P they sell different stuffs from those we have back home, and different outlets here actually have different items on their menu.


went to mong kok to have kfc (yes, dun ask me why we had to travel all the way there to eat kfc =P) and guess what, they had portuguese egg tarts! yum yum :p they had hot chocolate too...and criss-cut fries! lol. today i thot i could finally order a kfc meal properly in cantonese, and solely in cantonese...all was well until she asked me this question towards the end that i couldnt make out, and still cant figure out. =X sad.



ok i dunno what else there is to say...seems like nth much has been happening, except school - work and more work. TSK. oh, they have all gone out on their own to somewhere to explore already, all have their own adventures to share. i'm wondering when it will be my turn. =( i was thinking of friday morning (yup as in, in a few hours' time =P)...go somewhere near here, like just to kowloon city (i'm in kowloon tong) and check out the walled village there and get back by lunch time or something so that i can fret over my work. hmm. i dunno. firstly i shall see if i can wake up early, secondly i shall see if i feel like going out, thirdly i shall see if it makes sense for me to go take a walk when my whole brain is just filled with thots of school. RAHHH.


after 2 relatively-warmer days, the temperature has dropped again (it's 11deg now), and the chilly winds have returned to bug us. for the first time, i actually heard the rain just now, pitter pattering outside my window. it seldom rains this heavily, usually it just drizzles or is super super light rain. brrrr.
