extra-time.

3rd day back home, 1st day at work. i think there really is a reason why you call some place home. you don't take long to re-adjust to life again, you find the sights and sounds around you oddly familiar still, you feel like you never left - the last 5 months seems to be a blank, you somehow can still connect with people you haven't seen for 5 months.

other than the fact that my family and friends are here, the one other reason i love this place is FOOD. lol =P since my return on wednesday, i've been eating non-stop - my favourite chicken porridge@jurong west, ban mian, cai tao kueh, kway chap, fish and co, fish vermicelli+roast duck+cai tao kueh (the black one)+a variety of vegetables for lunch today on my ex-supervisor's account, a good restaurant meal for dinner on my new boss's account....ba zhang, bak kut teh when i came home. goodness me. people i've met so far said i lost weight, i seriously hope i don't put it all back on so soon. think i will need to do some exercise every week. but i really hope that i lost weight not because of the relapse of my illness. that would be disastrous -_-

actually i still don't feel very used to hearing singlish, or even the singaporean style of chinese, but i guess it will take me no more than a few days to get used to it again. after all, i've been here for 20years, what's 5 months man?! haha =P

oh oh oh, but can i just say that i really don't like the new female voice on the mrt trains? she sounds weird - very soft (or did living in noisy hk affect my hearing?) and not very pleasant-sounding. i like the old one better. =)

okay, i realise there isn't much reflections to make...i've already talked about most of it in my previous entries - should only be that much. lol =P

and so, this will be the last entry on this blog for now. maybe i will change the address to "layming's travels" in future. =) for now, it's time to settle down, and move on from the "exchange" phase. i have to shift my gear back to working mode again, no more slack days where all i did was eat and sleep and watch videos. -_-

i really enjoyed hong kong, i love that place, and i will definitely go back for more, but of course, it won't be so soon. for now, it's time to concentrate on work - how apt is it that i named my entries after terms in soccer - i am now at zaobao sports. got a lot of learning to do man - sports reporting really isn't that easy.

so that's it, it's the end. where to look for me? =)
