to michelle, PARK ISLAND!

okay dearest michelle, and everyone who watched the hk drama The Seventh Day, this entry is for you! =)
i believe this is where "ten ten cafe" in the show is! =) right beside the ferry terminal!

and the stretch of walkway that's always seen in the show...for the uninitiated, basically this is like a condo estate you see in singapore, albeit on a larger scale and more self-contained - other than the condo facilities, there are supermarkets, eateries, cafes, a park and even a BEACH! a beach right at your doorstep! =)
the tsing ma bridge as seen from the ma wan tung beach. park island is also called ma wan. =)

and there's this park on the island. apparently, it's part of a bigger project, a theme park or sth. but right now, only this part of the park is ready la...
i think this is quite cool! =) and this is interesting too. when you look from one side, it's this image:
but they painted something else on the other side! =)

ooh, the park actually has a man-made waterfall...
and the hilltop lookout..you can see tsing ma bridge from almost anywhere on the island i think. =_=

anyway, i happened to see that other than the condo-like apartments, there are also houses like these:
somehow, it's a totally different feeling when i saw it and walked nearer to it...it just feels...out of place? like doesnt match with what people see from the outside. haha =P

i think i seriously can live on park island - if i look beyond the fact that i have to pay 16HKD one way for the ferry - cos it's such a nice place! like there are no vehicles on the island for most times of the day, except for those delivery vans / trucks, public buses. and it isn't too far from the city centre - a ferry ride to central takes about 20mins. and it's so self-contained, i mean there's a primary school and beach even! haha =P and the supermarket has everything! cool stuff. i really think i won't have a problem staying there. haha. oh wells.

anyway, after 2 hours on the island, i went back to central and popped by Western Market...
then i went on to this area called north point. hmmm was there to check out this particular street where they are supposedly filming the heart of greed 2. was thinking if i happened to bump into them filming, then it's good cos then i can help joce tell lam fung that she likes him ALOT ALOT! hahah. but er...i didn't even see the shop front la! haha =P
and this is hotel ibis at north point...check out the contrast between it and the buildings beside, it's impossible to miss man!

can i just say i love north point mtr station? why?!
yah! cos it's super bright orange!!! hahaha =P before i reached this stop, i saw that tin hau station is orange. and i thought, aiya i like this station i want to take a photo of it, but too bad i was in the train la. so what a pleasant surprise when i saw that north point is orange too! haha =P and it's such a bright cheery orange okay! =P yah yah, call me an orange fanatic. LOL =P
