half-time.

right, i still have about 15mins of paid internet connection left...so i'm here hoping to leave a short entry at slightly more than halfway through my parents+relatives' 5-day hong kong tour! =)

had dinner at chao inn and walked around tst on friday, but the weather was really sucky -_- rained the whole day, glad the weather cleared after dinner so they could take a walk along the harbourfront. what's a trip to hk without seeing the night view of victoria harbour? =)
had dim sum for breakfast at lin heung lau on saturday - the food was really superb but boy, was the wait for a table a nightmare. -_- there were a few contributing reasons - 1) it was a weekend, 2) we had 8 people, 3) you had to go get a table on based on your own "ability": kopitiam style - and you know how people take their own sweet time to yum cha. -_- but good thing we all got seated about 30mins from the moment we stepped in, and fortunately too, there was a very nice local lady to help me out with the ordering and stuff. haha =P and we went up to the peak, shopped ard central, and went to sha tin for roast pigeon. =)

took this ourselves at the peak! =)

and today, we went to the big buddha! =) there wasn't much of a queue for the cable car, and the weather was pretty good today! happy. =) and the 250 steps up wasn't that bad la, still manageable. =) the bronze buddha statue is actually quite magnificent, and i was telling my mum how i feel as if the buddha is really looking at us when i reach the top, just below the statue. haha =P oh, and can i just say that the cable car ride up there is very much worth the money too? the sights along the way are so pretty! =)
