counting down...
told you it's going to be a happening last few days in hong kong...met up with a hk classmate for sushi lunch today. it was so last minute because she's leaving for london on 25th, coming back on 29th, but my parents are going to be here on 30th. so we spoke last night, and decided that today was the only time we could meet up before we go our separate ways.
i finally got to try itamae sushi - the sushi chain that always has people queuing, no matter which branch we pass by, we see the same situation. and i finally know why - the food's good and the price is reasonable, going by hk standards =)

and she's ruby, another funny character. haha =) i realise, the people i meet here are all pretty funny, which is a good thing i guess. =P just to sidetrack, i meant to say special promotion, but ended up saying rendezvous in cantonese, and that got her laughing at me for a while. TSK. i am trying very hard okay. =X
anyway, went to pick strawberries after lunch with cuiyi and agnes! yup, PICK STRAWBERRIES right here in hong kong! =) i thought it's kinda cool because i didn't know we can pick strawberries right here, in such a developed and fast-paced city! haha =P
the place was quite far off, had to take the train to fanling (new territories) then a minibus to get there..but i think it was worth it! =)

a very pretty sight! =) it costs 40HKD a pound, and we actually picked quite a lot of strawberries for a pound. hahaa. so happy. =)
yup, you see part of the strawberry plantation behind me.. =) you just have to go in, walk row by row, and just pluck those strawberries that are "calling out" to you la! haha =P

and the good thing is, the strawberries actually taste good! some were really sweet! haha =)
although this is a faraway place, but its serenity actually makes it a nice place to be, away from all the hustle and bustle, skyscrapers and human traffic jams. i really like hong kong, for its "other side" of what visitors usually see. i really don't mind staying here long term, if i have all the time in the world to keep visiting these faraway places and get away from the crowds. =)
