sushi!
yea, suddenly we have very happening and exciting lives here in hong kong. i guess it's cos this exchange is soon coming to an end. and so, we actually had sushi last night, at TEN 10pm cos it was half price after that. that's not all, we went overnight karaoke-ing AGAIN for the second time in less than a week. =/ but ehhhh i want to have the discounted steamboat after 9pm one day leh, then i will truly be a happy girl. haha =P
i almost forgot to take a photo of my sashimi before i chomped down the last piece on the plate. haha. looks damn good right? it tastes good as well! haha =P
yea...there was this huge aquarium thing in front of us. there werent many options available on the conveyor belt though, had to indicate what we wanted on the order chits most of the time.
and 3 very satisfied women holding different info sources - cuiyi with the beverage menu, jinli with the sushi menu, and jodi with the one that says "half price sushi / drinks after 10pm" -_-
this is us...nearing the end of our sushi feast already. haha =P full and satisfied customers. you should have seen the soft shell crab sushi! there was a huge portion of soft shell crab lah! i miss soft shell crabs, so glad to have had it, and good ones at that! haha =P
yup, that's everything we had...*burp*
and off we went for karaoke at neway city - it's at mong kok, so called because it was the first outlet of karaoke chain neway lah, then it's like 3 storeys high or sth, so there are quite a lot of rooms...
our room 62! =) check out the design of the room...every room had a slightly different design...

anyway, yesterday when i went out in the evening, i saw this:
how exciting! hahaha. by the way, it's signal no. 3 now, meaning: "strong wind is expected or blowing generally in Hong Kong near sea level, with a sustained speed of 41-62 km/h, and gusts which may exceed 110 km/h, and the wind condition is expected to persist", according to the HK observatory webby. when i saw this, i was reminded of the convo i had with terence about experiencing typhoons here. i hope it doesnt get too bad. but apparently, the signal might go up to 8 tmr, and that means: "Gale or storm force wind is expected or blowing generally in Hong Kong near sea level, with a sustained wind speed of 63-117 km/h from the quarter indicated and gusts which may exceed 180 km/h, and the wind condition is expected to persist." wah..wonder how it will be like. hahaha. i must sound like a suaku to a local now man. LOL =P
anyway, on wednesday, i took some time off since there was no astro lecture in the afternoon to visit chi lin nunnery at diamond hill. i really like the calm and peace i find in these buddhist places, seriously. maybe it's time that i understand my own religion more.
here's the main entrance...

the one right smack in the middle of the following picture is the main hall, but it was under renovation...

i bet they all look the same to you. haha oh well. maybe there are still certain intangible things that photos cant capture.
alright, i think i must do sth to get myself off the computer, like no more blogging or talking on msn or watching videos online. hahaha. there seems to be an insane amount of work to do, but still, here i am choosing to spend my time on the less important things. hahaha. i hope to be able to exercise some super power and finish all the work before we leave for korea on thursday night. someone give me the determination, discipline and strength please.
