thank you.

this afternoon, i went for an individual consultation with the newspaper prac instructor. he said he didn't have much to say to me...there were no edits on grammar / language on the 2 articles he marked. i have a bit of a problem with the story structure though. but he said my style of writing and how the article has turned out, have the shape of a proper news article already. then he encouraged me to seriously consider journalism as my future career (WOAH, i was pretty flattered leh~!). i told him, yea i will be going into chinese journalism, then he said i can be a bilingual journalist! woah, even more flattered!!haha.

i'm actually quite happy to hear such comments. more than once, i have found myself wondering if i decided too early for myself the path i want to take. after all, i was only 19 then. the interest and passion don't seem to be at that high a level they used to be. i also don't feel an as compelling sense of mission as before.

but it's precisely because of the seemingly little things, like today's encounter with my teacher, that happen along the way that keep me going on this track. we all need that little boosts of morale every now and then =) i need more confidence, i need to believe this is for me. =)
