safe and having fun in seoul!

hello all~! yup we somehow managed to get our hands on some computers with relatively fast internet speed and so i'm here =P where? at ehwa women's university, one of the better ones in korea if i am not wrong. we are in the area to do some shopping...ehhh it's been a good trip so far, just that the language barrier is quite bad. we get by with simple english, handsigns and pointing on maps, or some simple korean we learn from dramas - jodi and cuiyi can do this pretty well (who says tv is a bad influence? =P)

i think the people here can get quite amused hearing people speak english. i was trying to talk to some shop assistant about taking a look at the t-shirts that was folded (i wanted to get a t-shirt, but dint want that one that was hanging on the rack) she couldnt understand and got someone else to help me. that second girl dint really understand what i wanted too, but she could somehow manage a "new??" then i, "yes yes", she, "okok". that's all we could manage and she started laughing at the exchange. hahaa =P when we left the place, she was still laughing when she saw me =/ hahaha. she's quite friendly lah actually. =P

well i guess no matter where we go, there will always be some kind of culture shock. it feels insecure not being able to understand what these people around me are saying, but from the short time i've been here, this country feels safe and comfortable enough to stay for a longer period of time. =) oh you know what, i actually think korean sounds like cantonese. haha =P

anyway, korean boys not very shuai4 leh!!! very difficult to even find one that is decent. hahaha so sad. :( maybe it's cos they mostly have single eyelids. LOL =P

okay...got to go now, i think we are doing more shopping! haha =P
