layming the jetsetter.: happy 21st, roomie!

ehhh paiseh, this entry is one day late cos i thought i should let the birthday girl have the honour of posting a blog entry about her birthday first before anyone else. but she hasn't done it, and i'm studying jap now so might as well do work and wait for the upload of the photos at the same time. haha =P shall save on the words and let the pictures talk.

cuiyi's birthday dinner was a simple affair at pizza hut - she was craving for something cheesy, and yes she did get her wish. and we were all so full after the meal. yum.

and because they wanted to charge us an extra 50HKD (-_-) if we cut cake within their premises, we had to do some quick thinking on our feet while jodi and cuiyi went to the toilet. we cooked up a story to explain jinli's absence so she could take the cake and go downstairs to wait for us. the cake was supposed to be a surprise for cuiyi, you see.

jinli ended up at the playground downstairs...but not before suffering a scare when she stepped out of pizza hut only to see jodi and cuiyi returning from the toilet. she had to run back in and hide with the cake. heh =P

jinli was "on the phone" with her mum...and because the playground was quite odd a place to make a phone call, i think i said something like, "wah she really has to choose such a place to make phone call leh", and cuiyi actually played along and said something funny in response to that...haha. like everything was normal kind. LOL =P

jinli trying to figure out which slice is what flavour of cheesecake. cuiyi's birthday cake was special because it's made up of different-flavoured cheesecakes, something she has said she wanted to have. “如果有个cheesecake，它每一块都是不同flavour的就好！” =) oh we weren't anywhere close to finishing the cheesecakes though, so there are still a couple more slices sitting in our fridge. heh =P

unwrapping her present...“为什么那个青蛙在流眼泪？” was her first reaction when she saw the photo frame. something which none of us noticed. lol. =P

well on the whole, operation cherri went very smoothly and my dear roomie hadnt suspected anything the whole night - she said so after the celebration. to think i thought i had already given the game away when i left a toy and note on her table asking her to refer to "the other card" before i went over to jodi's room to write that card. i thought we would be meeting downstairs directly at 545pm, but it dint occur to me that cuiyi had time to come back to the room after her lesson ended at 520pm. so i literally chiong-ed back from jodi's room, but alas, cuiyi was already in the room and she had already seen the note i wrote so she knew there was a card. haha. and because i end class very much earlier so i was supposed to be in the room, i had to tell her, "oh i went to meet my editor" when she asked where i went. fortunately i anticipated it and was thinking for a plan on the way back from jodi's room. LOL =P apparently, she dint suspect anything, make me gun cheong for nth. -_-
